What I Ate Wednesday

Happy Humpday my friends!

After much consideration, I have decided to share my daily eats with you. I always hesitate to create these posts, as they often create an atmosphere for comparison, something that I personally struggle with. However, some of my favorite bloggers use WIAW to not only share their tried and true recipes, but also to show that we are all human and life happens along with the occasional extra helping of dessert.

Now on to the eats!

Because of the unusually warm temperatures here in Ohio, I have been having smoothies for breakfast on the daily. This particular morning I had Amanada’s gingerbread smoothie. I added a scoop of vanilla protein as well as an extra spoonful of almond butter to bump up the protein. I also had an unpictured pink lady apple on the side because I gotta have my crunch. Crunchatize me cap’n!

For lunch I had a tuna sweet potato burger (recipe coming soon) with a toasted pita topped with hummus, avocado, nutritional yeast, and red peppa flakes. To keep with the theme, more crunchy veggies on the side. Side note: Not all of my food is insta-worthy. This meal is a prime example.

After lunch, my mom, sister, and I went to TJ Maxx to spend our christmas giftcards. I swear mine was starting to burn a whole in my wallet an hour after I received it. I found some adorable leggings and 2 jars of Wild Friends Peanut Butters for 5 dollars each. Score!

Around three o’clock my stomach started to rumble so I made a quick greek yogurt bowl topped with melted frozen blueberries and Purley Elizabeth Pumpkin Fig cereal. Probably one of the best snacks I have had in awhile!

Dinner was grilled chicken with avocado, hummus, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, and a cold sweet potato. My meal actually didn’t look this pretty as this picture was taken a few weeks ago. Trust me, you don’t want to see what it actually looked light. Short winter days and food photography are not a good pair.

I absolutley cannot end the night on an empty stomach so I snacked on one of Alexis’s chocolate banana muffins with cashew butter and another pink lady apple. Apples are the one fruit that I feel like I can never get enough of. Even when nothing else sounds good, an apple will usually appear somewhat appealing to me.

And that’s a wrap!
